Denise Lizette, a self-proclaimed expert sociologist, can be found observing, even marveling at, human behavior (dating or otherwise normal daily life) every other minute of her waking day. Born and raised in the suburbs of southeast Michigan, this debut book has been on her bucket list for decades. Denise loves to laugh and believes laughter is one of life's best riches! 

How do you title a book you have thought to write for over 30 years? 

In my case you accept a  lucky magnet from a wonderful friend!  Thats right... this book was named from a magnet given to me by a recently married friend who shared it was her good luck charm in meeting the love of her life... What a pass it forward, thoughtful gift, and what a great book title!

Star Light Star Bright, where the Heck is Mr. Right!

A wonderful illustrator, Jamie Ruthenburg created this adorable character that I endearingly call Lizette.  I always loved my middle name and when I saw this character (who yes resembles me) I knew exactly what to call her!

Dating… the struggles are real and the variables endless.  Take a walk with me through over thirty-two years of dating that have brought me great laughter, lessons, realizations, and so many stories! 

Mindset is everything in all aspects of our lives, so why would dating be anything different?  We all think it somehow things will magically happen; our life will change in an instant and move us like a bolt of lightning…and sometimes that might just happen.  Other times, the experiences can be simply hilarious! It’s all in how you look at it!
